What is the difference?
A pro supports an option or describes a benefit; a con weighs against it or describes a drawback. The short forms come from the Latin phrase pro et contra, meaning for and against. In other contexts, pro can mean professional and con can mean deceive or a convicted person, so the decision context matters.
